" Viva Brisvegas " |

All the
joys of Pfeiffer and more as they hit Brisbane town next week. There's an
awesome line up of bands doin' the do with them;
Tonjip - Semicolon -
The Wall Of Sound -
Polyvinyl - Namaste Jake -
Flat World Folded &
Merkury hit the stage in support.
For your 15 mins of fame, get along to the all ages show on Aug 22, cause The Wall Of Sound are bringing along a film crew and you might just manage to get your melon on TV. Tonjip are making the grade and themselves well heard by taking on the number 3 spot on Triple j's net 50. The everstanding semicolon are set to size up the competition even though they are now a three piece and have a girly singer. Polyvinyl, Namaste Jake and Flat World Folded, three of the hardest working bands in Brisbane. Need I say more? Finally the new comers. The young, sexy kids that are guarenteed to make you hot and sweaty, Merkury.

now working thanks to the fab folk at Band Universe. Go to the

" The Pictures....of pfeiffer in QLD that is " |
14-07-2004 |
The fresh new photos
of the pfeiffer QLD tour have been added to the visual/photo section. Many
apologies for the delay. There's the Noosa show with The Disables and also
Mik and Floyd's beer drinking expedition to every pub in Brisbane, even the
meeting of famous people (sort of). You'll have a laugh, we did.

" I fought the law and...well everybody's happy " |

As you've
probably already heard, seen or read about, the Pfeiffer Indonesia tour had
to unfortunately be postponed. This was due to their current political
situation being to dangerous for the Aussies to be surrounded by.
However the good news is that Balinese police and officials have given promoters two thumbs up to go ahead with the tour in July. Keep your eye on the website and local press for further information.

"I'm walking on sunshine...woah oh oh! " |
21-05-2004 |
After stepping off the
plane in Queensland, Pfeiffer were met with their biggest challenge to date;
answering the timeless, repetitive question from every banana bender they
came across; "We've got the best weather in Australia, don't you think?".
Eventually this question went unanswered, or simply a mumbled "whatever".
Then came bad news number 2; the cancellation of the Pfeiffer and Disables show at the Alley Bar. Many apologies to those who turned up only to see the poster on the door informing you of the unfortunate dilemma. However the show at The Koala Bar in Noosa was a bit more successful, with around 150 people filling the room with vibrancy and plenty of sparkling ales, not to mention a lot of accents. The Disables pulled off a powerful, epic, hour and a half set and got the room jumping from the first chord. Following up, Pfeiffer's set sucked what was left of the punters hanging at the bar out into the pit. By the end of their set the crowd weren't cheering "ENCORE", they were demanding "SHOW US YOUR TITS", to which Matt kindly obliged. Unfortunately no-one got to see Floyd's trade mark strip show...well maybe it's a good thing, I don't know. But a few of the boys down the front of stage managed to get their pants off in anticipation. All in all, everyone had a ball. A huge thank you goes out to everyone who; went to a show, hung out with the band, said hi to the band, bought the band 'a' beer, drank the bands beer, got naked and ignored Mik and Floyds terrible (but humorous) behavior on Thursday and Friday night in the valley. Finally a gigantic thank you to The Disables, especially Jud for the hard work on Thursday and Friday, it was much appreciated. You guys ROCK!!!

"on an island in the sun" |
10-04-2004 |
|
The warm Autumn
sun....a cool crisp breeze....and a whole lot of rock!!! Pfeiffer are set to
jet off to Indonesia shortly, but there is a down-side.
Due to the current political situation in Java, Surabaya police have denied the band access to the island, saying it would be too dangerous for them to be there. This has unfortunately forced Pfeiffer to cancel their Java show. A replacement show will be announced soon. On the up-side Bali and Lombok are locked in, along with more fun in the sun back in Australia on the beaches of Noosa, followed up by 1 show only in Brisbane. Melbourne shows are being finalized as you read this, so stay tuned.

"nothing nothing quite like...the lacky country" |
20-03-04 |
In other
tour news, it is with much sadness that I must announce, Brisbane synth-stars
GENSHEN have unfortunately had to cancel their slots on the Pfeiffer
tour. However, don't despair kids, taking Genshen's place on the Queensland
leg of the tour will be punk legends THE DISABLES. Now Pfeiffer have
reserved parking right at the front door of the venue. Haha.
|
"stick it where it fits" |
05-03-04 |
Everyone heading along to the show in Bali, please note that the venue has now changed. The May 08 Pfeiffer show has been moved to Bounty Ship (Legian). This was due to Planet Hollywood being to small to cater for the 600+ expected crowd. Hang in there folks, tickets go on sale soon. Taking the opening slots for the show will be Jerky Sucks, S.O.S, Naughty Bomb & Ripper Clown. It's gonna be a cracker!!! To top it off the latest of the Oz shows has raised it's head. The first show back from Indonesia will be at the Koala Bar in sunny Noosa, QLD on May 12. Playing along side Pfeiffer will be the always outstanding, Genshen. Check the tour page for more details.

"new website additions" |
18-02-04 |
As you've probably
noticed, the Pfeiffer website has had a make over. We've also added some new
stuff for you to look at. Yay!! You can now download MP3's of 'Brat Boy' and 'Kebunku' taken from the Pfeiffer 'Live at the Nash' DVD. Go to the audio section, download and start skankin'. Screenshots from the DVD have been added to the visual section. Also new in the visual section is the first Pfeiffer Article (that we know of), from the Jan 07 2004 edition of Balinese newspaper 'Denpost'. Many apologies for the pigeon English translation.

Matt and Emm's accoustic duet went down like an ice cold beer in the middle of summer, with many fans enjoying the mid week stress relief. Matt and Emm would like to send a big thank you to everyone who made it down to the Barly Corn Hotel (Collingwood) for the show and a special thank you to Kestral who rocked out like a true star. |
